1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair has announced the launch of 1-54 Presents in Hong Kong from 26–30 March 2024, marking its inaugural presence on the Asian continent.

Organised in collaboration with Christie’s and taking place at their office in Hong Kong’s Central district, the exhibition will coincide with Art Basel Hong Kong.

1-54 Presents is a programme of curated pop-up exhibitions initiated in 2023.

Touria El Glaoui, founding director of 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, said: “1-54 is thrilled to continue our longstanding partnership with Christie’s and embark on this exhilarating journey to bring African art to the vibrant heart of Asia during Art Basel Hong Kong.”

Francis Belin, president, Christie’s Asia Pacific commented: “Through our prominent presence in the region and wide-reaching art world network, we are delighted to further support 1-54 in platforming African art on the global stage. We look forward to welcoming audiences across Asia to discover this vibrant event, which will highlight Hong Kong’s art week.”
