Cosmogrammes presents the deeply collaborative work of Sara Ouhaddou, a French artist of Moroccan origin, who explores traditional skills in dialogue with craftspeople around the world. Invited by the ICI – Institut des Cultures d’Islam, continuing an artistic relationship forged over the years, this is her first solo exhibition at a Paris institution.
Embroidery, glass, ceramics, drawings, jewellery and photographs emblematic of her approach are brought together in an itinerary carried by the artist’s voice. It reveals the processes of reciprocal transmission at the heart of her practice, mixing recent works with previously unpublished creations. Conceived as a living archive, with the help of exhibition curator Ludovic Delalande, Cosmogrammes opens up a space for movement between stories, gestures and memories.
