Riyadh University of Arts is preparing to welcome students with admissions opening in May and classes scheduled to begin in September, following last year’s unveiling of the institution.
Led by Prince Badr bin Abdullah , and under the guidance of the Ministry of Culture, the university aims to bridge education and industry by nurturing talent across key creative sectors, empowering students to contribute meaningfully to a rapidly evolving cultural landscape.
Based in Riyadh, the university will initially launch across four colleges covering music, film, theatre and performing arts and cultural management which will cover a range of subjects such as architecture, design, culinary arts, visual arts, fashion and more. These programmes are tailored to meet the rising demand for skilled professionals in the creative industries, while future expansion plans will introduce additional colleges and disciplines.
The university’s academic model emphasises flexibility and accessibility. Offering a range of pathways from short courses to postgraduate degrees. This structure reflects a broader ambition to support lifelong learning and professional development within the arts sector.
Aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, the university stands as a strategic investment in the Kingdom’s cultural future. It’s set to play a defining role in shaping Saudi Arabia’s creative economy and cultural identity on the world stage.
