The 4th Edition of Art d’Égypte, Forever Is Now, has announced the artist lineup. The upcoming event is due to take place from the 24 October to the 16 November and returns to the Pyramids of Giza. The exhibition is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and under the patronage of UNESCO.
This year’s edition invites visitors and participating artists to consider art as a medium which can unite past and present, unearthing its transcendental potential. Through re-examining the ordinary via unpredictable objects and materials, the line between art and archaeology starts to blur and the ancient location serves as a reminder of the power of history and innovation.
This year, 12 international artists will participate in Forever Is Now.04. They will bring rich global perspectives from countries including the United Kingdom, Italy, South Korea, South Africa, Belgium, Lebanon, France, Egypt, India, Greece, Spain and Canada. Artists from Asia will be featured for the first time in this edition, emphasising the importance of cross-cultural dialogue.
Additionally, for the first time, two parallel projects will be unveiled as Hassan Ragab, an AI artist, will showcase a work designed to close the gap between art and technology and Daniah Al Saleh will exhibit a short video work entitled Evanesce which delves into the influence of the golden era of Egyptian cinema on the wider culture of the country.
