Arts AlUla will present FAME: Andy Warhol in AlUla as part of the second edition of its annual arts festival, which will run from 16–28 February. Set to take place at Maraya, an arts and cultural venue in AlUla, the exhibition is produced in collaboration with the Andy Warhol Museum – one of the four renowned Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh – and curated by its director Patrick Moore. FAME will focus on the late American artist’s enduring fascination with the limelight, exploring his identity and career and highlighting his ongoing relevance in the age of social media. A selection of his paintings, prints and ‘screen-tests’ of Hollywood stars, sporting legends and musicians, his wallpaper designs and his immersive installation Silver Clouds (1966) will all be on view.
