Demain est annulé…Art and views on moderation

Fondation Groupe EDF

Details

The challenge of the century. As we become conscious of the fragility of our planet and the fact that inaction is no longer an option, it is time to search individually and collectively for tangible solutions. Among them, moderation.

From January 17, the EDF Group Foundation will contribute to the discussion by bringing this multifaceted theme to the sensitive attention of contemporary artists. The exhibition Demain est annulé…, de l’art et des regards sur la sobriété [Tomorrow is Canceled]…Art and views on moderation] sets out to explore some of the paths to a sustainable world.

Open to all audiences, this new exhibition, put together by a group of scientific and artistic curators, extends across the 550 square meters of a renovated space. Installations, photographs, videos, paintings and music…23 artists offer a dreamlike and at times critical journey, which, far from being prescriptive, provides food for thought about our relationship to energy conservation.

The visitor will be able to understand the already visible effects of climate change and explore the different ways to address them.
Is it possible to dream together of a more moderate world? Can this moderation bring about a more harmonious and just society? Can it help individuals reconnect with others and with nature? Can technical innovation serve social, political and ecological progress? What are the new paths that need to be explored?

Visitors are free to follow their emotions, to question themselves and to take action.
