In celebration of the 130th anniversary of the iconic Louis Vuitton monogram, the Maison has unveiled a vibrant expansion of its Colour Blossom fine jewellery collection
Created in 1896 by Georges Vuitton as a tribute to his father, the Louis Vuitton monogram or sigil brings together a diverse multiplicity of artistic movements, from Neo-Gothic ornamentation to the aesthetics of Japanism, evolving over 13 decades to become a resplendent symbol of luxury and creativity. The Color Blossom collection – originating in 2015 – has translated this rich and iconic heritage into fine jewellery, utilising a carefully curated palette of precious stones and organic gems, including pink and white mother-of-pearl, onyx, carnelian, malachite and amazonite, each meticulously carved to highlight their individual beauty.
Louis Vuitton has now introduced a total of 28 new pieces that embody the creative energy of the distinctive flower-like sigil. These latest additions to the collection also bring sodalite to the Color Blossom family. Also known as ‘salt stone’, this striking mineral is a true rarity in the world of contemporary fine jewellery, characterised by its deep navy-blue hue and high opacity, as well as subtle inclusions which serve as a wondrous visual reminder of its connection to nature and the raw elements of Earth.
For the introduction of sodalite, the Maison has fashioned a full set of jewels for a total of seven new pieces. These include a pair of delicate pendant necklaces in a star and sun motifs, a long sautoir necklace, a star stud earring and an open ring set with a sodalite star and a precious diamond. However, the true standouts are a pair of multi-motif bracelets, each decorated with a sodalite star and a pavé sun, with an elevated version accented with an additional unique motif and a brilliant round diamond.
The collection’s signature bombé shape is achieved by putting the rough sodalite through a rigorous and uncompromising lapidary process. Carving the stones into three-dimensional Monogram flowers demands exceptional levels of expertise and precision. The complex cutting and polishing process requires up to five times more time than traditional flat-stone polishing, but this meticulous craftsmanship ensures both perfect symmetry and light reflection, magnifying the natural depth and intensity of the gemstone.

In addition to a new sodalite hard stone, the Maison is also introducing new pavé creations to the collection, adding not only more sparkle and luminosity but also a greater range of self-styling options to mix, match and complement the already existing elements of the Color Blossom line. Enveloping the bombé centre stone, the delicate pavé detail frames the signature motif marvellously, manifesting contrasting light and shade that emphasise the centre stone’s depth and intensity. These take the form of two white mother-of-pearl pendants in star and sun motifs, each paired with a single diamond, as well as two striking pavé medallion-style necklaces – the first being a sun design in white mother-of-pearl, and the other a malachite star motif.
The creative spirit embodied by the Monogram continues to inspire, adding still more new jewels to the Color Blossom collection in the form of two new short necklaces – again with alternating sun and star motifs – in both pink mother-of-pearl and malachite, accompanied by a sublime sautoir necklace that combines the star and sun emblems with pink and white mother-of-pearl. A number of new closed rings and earrings also join the collection, inviting stacking and mix-and-matching, with the bonus addition of a star ear cuff – studded with diamonds – that adds a trendy edge to the Color Blossom collection. In a final flourish, the Maison has also expanded its much-beloved pink mother-of-pearl designs with the addition of five new jewels, including a long sautoir necklace, two bracelets and two chic, minimalist pendants.
Maintaining the collection’s hallmark play on volume, these new creations honour the spirit of liberty central to Color Blossom, encouraging wearers to curate and style the pieces with personal, expressive flair. The selection bridges the gap between the refined, navy-blue depths of sodalite and the radiant glow of pavé diamonds, introducing modern silhouettes such as sleek sleepers, an architectural ear cuff and versatile necklaces of varying lengths. Together, these additions serve as a vibrant homage to the 130-year legacy of the iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram.
