The Taipei Biennial 2023 has revealed the full list of artists participating in its 13th edition, running from 18 November 2023 to 24 March 2024 at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum (TFAM).
Curated by Freya Chou, Brian Kuan Wood, and Reem Shadid, this year’s edition is entitled Small World, a reference to the smaller social circles that formed in the wake of the pandemic, and the promise of this phenomenon bringing us closer to one another and its threat of isolating us from the larger community.
More than 50 artists explore this theme through sound, photography, video, painting, sculpture and installation, including 10 new works and commissions. The line-up features Basel Abbas & Ruanne Abou Rahme, Huguette Caland, Samia Halaby, Nesrine Khodr, Jumana Manna, Basim Magdy, Bahar Noorizadeh, Natascha Sadr Haghighian, Massinissa Selmani, Lara Tabet and Raed Yassin.
