Youssef Nabil has been named Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Ministry of Culture.
He was appointed by Minister of Culture Rima Abdul Malak and presented with a medallion marking the honour by famed artist Marina Abramović.
This occasion marks the second time the artist has earned the title, having previously been appointed in November 2022.
The Order of Arts and Letters is intended to recognise French citizens and non-nationals for their significant contributions to the fields of art and literature in France and the world. The honour includes three grades (Knight, Officer and Commander) and is awarded three times a year, in summer, winter and spring.
