The 10th Asian Art Biennial has revealed the full artist lineup for its upcoming edition, set to take place from 7 November to 28 February 2027.
Entitled Mrahul Tminun · 共織 · Co-Weaving and curated by Lu Pei-Yi, the biennial will be held at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA). The title, in Truku, Chinese and English, alludes to the event’s theme, which bring forth the act of curation as a type of weaving.
Through their work, selected artists including Womanifesto, Mounira Al Solh, Davra Collective, Hylozoic/Desires (Himali Singh Soin & David Soin Tappeser), Aziza Kadyri, Citra Sasmita and Cian Dayrit, among others, will explore the multifaceted and layered histories of Asia. The biennial will emphasise the durability of artistic practice, with questions of connection and community forming the heart of this edition through three sections: Weaving as Method, Artists as Weavers and Weaving People Together.
This year, the Asian Art Biennial will also stage a series of public programmes encouraging discovery across disciplines, featuring talks, workshops and performances.
