Art D’Égypte has announced the final artists participating in its upcoming edition, Forever Is Now .06, set to take place from 4 to 28 November.
The sixth edition of the event will return to the Giza Pyramids for the first time under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and Experience Egypt and the patronage of UNESCO. Led by Art D’Égypte founder Nadine Abdel Ghaffar, Forever Is Now .06 will recenter the pyramids, bringing the questions of the continuity of creation through time and space to the forefront. It will invite artists to respond, through site-specific installations and new commissions, to these ancient landmarks, repositioning them from historical relic to site of contemporary cultural exchange.
Invited participants in the international and upcoming women-led edition include Egyptian sculptor and painter Reham Abo Elazm, Turkish artist Seçkin Pirim, Jiang Qiong Er from China, British-Jamaican sculptor and performance artist Rochelle-Webster Nembhard, British-French filmmaker Charlotte Colbert, French-American artist Raphaële Shirley, as well as Bernar Venet and Geoffroy Pithon from France.
Forever Is Now .06 runs from 4 to 28 November
